How it started

filma was born in 2021 from a desire shared between two lifelong friends and architects Filipa and Mafalda — to work together and rethink the way we practice architecture. Rooted in friendship, collaboration, and a belief in more human-centered design, filma began with the vision that architecture could be more than just building spaces — it could create timeless environments, thoughtfully tailored to the people who live in them. Our goal is to become the clients thinking partner, helping them bring their ideas into the physical world, every detail is intentional, personal, and crafted to enhance the experience of the space. We believe that good design has to improve the way people feel, move, and connect within their spaces.
